Bachata Dance Classes: Where to Start
Los Angeles Bachata & Salsa Dance Academy offers classes for beginners. Bachata 101 is a 10-week comprehensive, structured, and progressive program. We will ensure you learn all the proper foundations and have fun dancing! Our bachata classes in Los Angeles will help build confidence, coordination, and connection with you and your dance partner. The primary focus will be learning the basic step sequence, which involves three steps and a tap, accompanied by corresponding hip movements. Our professional dance instructors will guide you through learning all the basics!
What to Expect in Your First Class
You can expect a warm and welcoming environment in your first bachata class. Don't worry; there's no pressure to get everything right immediately. You'll start with a warm-up to get your body ready for dancing. Following this, our professional dance instructor will introduce the fundamental Bachata steps, breaking them down for easy learning. Once you're comfortable with the basics, you'll learn simple turns and partner work.
How to Prepare for Your First Class
There's no strict dress code for bachata classes. Wear comfortable and breathable clothing that allows you to move freely. As for shoes, opt for comfortable ones that don't grip the floor too much, as you'll be pivoting and turning. Don't worry if you don't have a dance partner, we know the importance of having a partner in class, and we do an excellent job balancing partners in our programs.
Progressing with Bachata
Completed Bachata 101? Great! If you're considering taking things up a notch, Los Angeles Bachata & Salsa Dance Academy has progressive programs for Bachata classes. In Bachata 102, we still focus on the foundations and introduce techniques to enrich your skills further. Our curriculum is meticulously structured and designed to equip you with all the tools necessary to be proficient in Bachata.
By the end of Bachata 102, you'll be well-prepared and confident to transition into Bachata 103. We've ensured everything flows smoothly from one level to the next, giving students a comprehensive and enriching experience in their Bachata journey.
